Where it started

31 weeks pregnant.
Nowhere comfortable to sit.

Sarah had spent months getting the nursery right. The cot. The textiles. The lighting. Every detail, considered.

But when it came to the chair — the place where she'd spend hundreds of hours nursing her baby through the night — she couldn't find what she was looking for.

"Everything I found was either clinical and functional, or beautiful and useless for nursing. I just wanted both. That didn't seem too much to ask."

She tried secondhand. She tried the big retailers. She compared specs, read Mumsnet threads, asked friends. And every time, she hit the same wall: comfort or design. Never both.

So at 36 weeks pregnant, she decided to build what she couldn't find.
